Some of our friends at home are Cadbury (A big bunny), Daisy (A deer), Dora (of course Dora herself), Dolly (A cute gurly doll), Dhoni (A smart boy doll), Snowie (A white Teddy) and many more. And to join in this bandwagon is Simba (the Lion). We used fight on whose name wins the poll and finally settle down on it. So I think this makes it clear that we spend quality time on this important occasion of “name keeping ceremony”!
She was playing with the new arrival Simba. It looked more of violence than a child play. She was sitting on top the lion and kind of hitting it. I was quiet angry and asked her what she was doing. She said, “When ever you call him (the lion), you call it as ‘Simba the lion king”. I do not like it. I do not like him to be your king, I should only be your king, queen and all”. (Oh, you sweet darling!!)
I told, “Oh sweetie, you are only my angel always. But do not stamp like this over the doll. It will hurt the simba da”. I continued, “See it is Rs.400 toy dear so don’t play like this” (This is to ascertain the value of money). She asked, “Oh, it is very costly huh?” I said, “Yes dear, of course!” She was silently thinking to herself and asked me, “Where does it come Pavi?”
OMG.. Is she asking me about the origin of fur? (I myself do not know the answer!) Is she asking me the history of lion? (Oh, I am bad at history Varshu). But I cannot tell her all these things because I am supposed to a “Know-All Friend”.
So I asked her to re-confirm the question, “Which one are you are asking about?”
She said, “This 400... Does it come in A, B, C, D or 1, 2, 3, 4…??
Ohhhh.. What a sweetie pie you are..? I just hugged her loving the innocence…!!
Now.. tht was a really cute innocent sweet question!!!! grown ups think about a lot of things that are of our age - bt the little ones are in their own little sweet world.
