My Little Devil

It was a cozy January Sunday. I was in my deep sleeps with all handsome dreams. Handsome because it included all hot heroes like Maddy, Surya, Ranbir Kapoor, Shahid Kapur, SRK.

It was when I heard my name being called somewhere distant. OH, Was it any of these heroes calling out my name. I listened again. No, It was a female voice calling out. SRK in female voice?? Noooooo..

It was my mom... "Pavi, Get up its already 10..!!"

I slowly opened one eye to check the time in my mob lying beside me. It showed 9.40am.

Why do all mom fast forward the time??

Me: Ma, 5 mins..!!

I heard some distant mumbling of mom. But i was already back to my Maddy and Surya.

2 mins later, again a soft shrill voice calling out my name. Definitely not Maddy.

Yeah, Its my niece.

Niece: Pavi, Its 10.30 get up. (That was like 2mins with my Favourite Heroes around. Time in my mobile glowed as 10.20 am.. This is definitely my mom's training).

My niece is one specimen. She doesn't get sleep before 1.00 clock in the night and after 7oclock in the morning. She is just 4 years old though.

Me: 2 mins da kutty.

Why do people bug me at this wee hours on Sunday?

I was trying to get back to my Aamir Khan, SRK while my niece was talking to my dad.

Niece: Appa, 2 mins na edhu varaikum??

My dad: count till 120.

Then silence.. Aaaaa.. I see my heroes coming back. yeah,. come..!!

Suddenly i hear something like 14,15,16... 27,28,29,30... 41,43,44,48,49,50...!!

My Maddy.. 59,60,64,66,67,68... Surya... 76,77,78,82,83,85,89...

What the hell is this?? Numbers and my heroes..

It was my niece who was loudly calling out the numbers. I asked her, "Enna di panra?" She innocently replied, " Nee dhan 2 mins la ezhudukuren nu sonna. Adhan count panren!!"

OMG.. What the hell is this?? 92,95,97,98,99.. Where are the in between numbers?? But she is skipping out numbers to finish it soon and get back to her Cartoon network..!! 100..

I knew i will not get sleep anymore. I lazily came out of the blanket and saw the brightly lit face of my niece.

She was shocked, "Pavi, Nee thoongu.. 2mins finish aana udane i'll wake you up"

Idhu vera..!!?!

But i can't deny her words and went back to my blanket.

104, 105, 109,110, 113, 114, 116, 117,118,119,120..

"Paviiiiiiiiiii... 2mins over.. Ipo ezhunduko!!"

And i had to.....!!!

She was running over to my mom to share the victory of waking me up. My dad was sitting there mischievously smiling at me. PLAN PANNI PANRANGADAA.....!!
